What is Clairaudience?

September 9, 2012

Clairaudience is from the French word meaning “clear hearing” and is the art of hearing music, sounds and voices that are not audible to the normal hearing.

The Wikipedia definition is “The ability to gain information about an object, person or physical event through means other than the known human senses”.

Generally, there are two forms of clairaudience.  They are physical and non-physical.  Physical voices are usually identical to human voices where as non-physical voices are usually considered astral voices.

The easiest way to understand what clairaudience is would be to liken it to a radio.  Radios work by picking up a certain frequency and they in turn make that frequency into something we can hear.  Someone with clairaudience tunes into a frequency we cannot hear with our natural hearing.  They then present the message they heard for our understanding.

This very potential has been tested by putting an individual into a double walled copper screened cage. The purpose being to eliminate the passage of radio signals passing through. The result failed to prevent messages from being received.

Understandably, most “average” people have viewed the claims made by some, that they may possess such powers, with a great deal of skepticism. An individual who may be grieving the loss of a loved one on the other hand, might be happy to “receive a message” and derive comfort from the experience.

Many learned people have studied this phenomena over hundreds of years to say the least the opinions vary greatly. Universities and colleges around the world who have given over valuable resources to question the presence of such forces have showed interest. Others with available funds have offered substantial amounts of money to anyone who can prove that clairaudience exists. As far as I know, they still have their money.

Buddhism is a practice which appears to embrace these concepts. The meditation process, the idea of a third eye, a higher level of consciousness, music of the spheres and celestial gandharvas, could just be different ways of saying the same thing. Joan of Arc is one of the best-known clairaudience users.  She is said to have helped lead the French to many important victories over the British by using her skills.

Clairaudience is a psychic power of intuition, which enables the clairaudient to hear voices of their guiding spirits, angels or even passed over loved ones.

If you are uninterested in hearing from any of these beings, then you may attune your clairaudience to listen to your body and mind.  This will allow you to be more in tune with yourself and make necessary changes to better your life.

Clairaudience can play an important part in your life when you use it to listen to your body and learn from it.  In addition, it aids Reiki practitioners with diagnosing problems, which need to be corrected within their Reiki healing energy.

I hope that now you have a better understanding as to what clairaudience is and how it can help you.  There are books available that teach techniques on how to enhance your clairaudience ability.  So next time something is bothering you and you’re not quite sure what it is, maybe it is time to visit a psychic or Reiki master who practices clairaudience.

Until next time,

Love and Light
